While checking/torquing fasteners on my bike today (was doing the 35k service), I found that the rubber front/lower isolation mount was torn/cracked all the way through.
I've had the bike for 1yr., 11mos. - got 1 month left on factory warranty. Does my standard 2yr. warranty cover this item?
Appreciate any replies/suggestions.

Yes, it should. Had mine replaced under warranty on my RK a couple years back.

Yep, I side with Gray on this. Not a normal wear item. Should last longer than that and can be dangerous if not repaired.

I would say...Yes..........

Good point. That's the one in which mine was replaced.

Is this a defect replacement? or do we have to pay for this?

Appreciate the good replies. LittleBear and Shooter, thank you for directing me to the TSB - printed it and taking it to the dealer this a.m.
Will update later . . .

Sure is a crap shoot. I gt 50k on mine checked at 47k, when replacing volt reg. Appeared ok, though I am sure a new one would be better..
Is there that many variable in riding styles and enviroment, or are there parts that erratic?

I am sure that it has to do with high torque situations and high HP engines will make this worse.

Dealer replaced it yesterday morning, under warranty, with the updated motor mount (as detailed in the service bulletin previously referenced in this thread).
Never needed to show him the service bulletin but it was good having it in the pocket just in case.
Thanks for the good info.!

Glad you got good service from your dealer without a lot of crap. Always nice to hear that.

While we're on the subject...
Has anyone who's had to replace theirs found the "new" style to be less effective than the "old"?
I recently installed a new one and my bike shakes a lot more than before. I double-checked to make sure that it wasn't contacting the frame--it's not. I loosened up the mounting bolts and ran the engine and then re-tightened everything. Still shakes way too much! I've checked all the other engine mount points and they're all tight. I'm really starting to get aggravated!
For the record, it's not installed upside down...

They get some better with time.

I have the polyurethene mount in mine, and it's a cement mixer at idle. Also has a buzz in the floorboards around 2200 to 2350 RPM's. Not bad, but there.
Go ride a panhead, then get back on yours. Feels like a H O N D A now, right??

Thanks.
I guess I'll just try to ignore it. It's actually okay at cruising speed.
For a while, I thought I had a warped front rotor because of the way it would shudder when coming to a stop.
So much for "new and improved."

Had to replace mine last summer. They gave me the same kind as I brought into the stealership. That's when I discovered it was a warranty item. Never felt any unusual vibration after replacing. Fortunately it's an easy job.
