I went for a ride this morning, Nothing unusual, except for my thought process today. It rained hard last night, and this morning was cool and sunny, with just enough moisture on the road to leave it dark black instead of the usual gray. I left my house, and because I live in a rural area, I was on a twisty road running through woods and farmland in about 2 minutes. It has some really nice curves, and beautiful scenery. I just took about a 40 mile ride to relax before doing some chores around the house, to sort of clear out the cobwebs. I saw a total of 3 cars the whole time. I thought back over the years to some of my other bikes, and rides, and realized how spoiled I am. The roads where I live now are, for the most part, smooth as glass. My current Harley is made so well, it makes me wonder what people are thinking when they say how "antique" Harley design is. These really are the "good old days", and we are truly foolish if we don't recognize and take advantage of that fact.
