Well if Rocky Mountain is a dont miss High Country is a definite miss at all costs.
They refuse to give any one discounts because they dont have too., we will buy their stuff anyway...
As for the service department they rank second to being the worst in the country... geezz they will over charge and even if the work gets done if they screw it up they will tell you it is your fault that is is wrong... go figure.

Now the sales guys are a good bunch, they will treat you well but are tied to their limitations when making deals. and the parts guys wish they could do more but alas they too are tied to the no discount thing.

if it wasnt for a couple of the parts people and the sales guys I wouldnt even stop in there for the free food in the summer....:boxing2:

well guys here is another couple of reasons to stay away from High-Country HD.. geez this guy (Scott) takes the cake..
one the young mechanics there, who by the way really looked up to Scott,
was killed on his bike a few weeks ago.
When Scott was asked if the shop could be closed to attend the funeral his comment was that if it is your day off you can go.. if not you will be fired if you attend.. He made it though
now I understand seperating business from personal stuff but geez this was one of his own guys who really looked up to this guy..
Next one of the parts guys opened his own shop, started out focusing on sport bikes and when he went to High country to have a spoked wheel trued, Scott told him to leave because he was taking money away from Scott..
Yeah I know but if you dont help each other out.. then when you need some help you kind of screw yourself.
The parts guy has since gotten more into the HD market.. good for them..

A few years back, an employee of Fremont HD died, actually it was a suicide and a female to boot. Anyway they closed the store for the day to attend the funeral...

When they do not even respect one of their own, how can they be expected to respect the customers?:badmood:

Is there a service department ranking out there someplace? That would be interesting.

Hogeye's stealer-dealer page has anecdotal ratings.

Chromer,
His name is Chase. one of the kids in the service department. Great Kid.. always tried his hardest to get things done. He had a really good shot at becoming a great mechanic.

KT

By the way.. cool video

It is nice to know that some things will never change... had to get a rocker box gasket ( yep blew out the head gasket on the RG right before Sturgis) so decided due to time to run into HC HD and grab a gasket.. well needless to say that there are almost no familiar faces in there (guess Scott went on one of his usuall firing everyone again, well at least it isnt christmas this time) of course I go to the parts counter and the guy there is totally lost... I had to look up and show him the pictures of what I wanted.. not rocket science but you do have to be smarter than the box... It took me almost 30 minutes (and yep I was the only one at the counter when we started) to get a rocker box gasket and a cylinder base gasket.. now that one was even tougher than the first.. had to explain what it was....

Toll-Pimp..

Guess I didn't know the young man..how sad. I don't recognize anyone in the Motor Clothes department either? One of their newbies special ordered a visor for my 2003 Anniversay Edition 1/2 helmet (you know, that geeky white one?) and the part came in wrong.

Whatever happened to keeping, developing and retaining good, hard working employees??

I always figured Rachelle could keep Scott in line. Guess not?

By the Way..
Your DOOF Toll-Pimp moniker signature ROCKS!!
