You use locktight on the screws?

You use locktight on the screws?
I didn't think about it since there was no loc-tite on the screws on the timing cover from the MoCo. Might be a good idea though...what is the consensus opinion?

I got home from my trip to Atlantic City and found a special package in the mailbox, she will be mounted today!

Mine arrived Friday. Haven't put it on yet, as the bike is filthy and I don't want to disrespect the 43.

When you're done mounting her then you should probably install the cover.

I didn't. By the way the screws went in, felt tight, I doubt they'll back out, at least they haven't since I installed mine last years...
...but then I have the correct number!

Completed the mods for mine, ventilated collar so hopefully the doggone Dyna S pointless unit will stay cooler and not fail at inappropriate times. Been running without a cover for a couple weeks. We'll see how this works.

No, that's so the air circulates to help cool the pointless breaker unit. I'm too cheap to buy a new one.
And maybe it'll be a Confusion Generator, too.
"What the heck is that, Stinky?"
"Saw one on Roland Sand's bike once..."

No matter whether you were being cheap or not,... it actually looks pretty cool like that! Excellent job.

I'm in the same boat..... Feel guilty about putting a brand spankin' new 43 on the Heritage when she's such a dirty girl.....

The GazintA timing cover looks awesome with the handwritten 7 design as opposed to the plain 7.

Yep, it does look nice. Both the 43 and 7 timing covers are razor sharp pieces of work :DD

So, the easy solution is just to buy a new bike.

Yeah, I don't care much for the gigantic covers, like the derby cover. Looks tacky and overwhelming on the bike, IMHO.
