Got a BUNCH more from the museum (love digital cameras!)

But.....

We took off from the dealer to head southwest to another town to begin the ride back toward home....

It was an adventure, kept coming up to loose gravel roads and having to turn around... are these considered dOoF lOoPs?

My leader as we turned around yet again...

Well, we finally made it to a lunch stop - and dj makes yet another friend

http://www.doofclenas.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12271&stc=1&d=1218981234

dj's new friend explained to us that they liked the town so much that they named it twice

Yea,just a little. He found it funny with me walking on my sore foot.

We had a nice little ride out in the north-central Illinois area. That museum inside Pierce H-D is impressive. It's located in Dekalb,IL.Had allot of memorabilia and probably 70 bikes. One of the dealer employees said they have another 150 bikes stored off site.VERY IMPRESSIVE COLLECTION to say the least.

Stopped in a little town called Paw Paw,or as the locals say 2 Paws.Found a friendly establishment for lunch and a cool one or two.Had a breaded pork tenderloin that was HUGE....and good.Meet a few of the locals.I just enjoy the hell out of shooting the shlt with 'em and getting a locals perspective.Had a good time shooting the BS with my wing-man Hornrocker....props broziNta.

Between the H-D dealer and Paw Paw,we did a little boondockin'.Kinda knew I wanted to head west to a state highway. So instead of getting on the slab we took those little county/township roads.Problem was they would be paved and you would go a few miles then bam,it's gravel.Made a few Doof loops, but we saw some nice country.I really enjoy just wandering around out in the country,no map,no gps, just wandering.Ya never know what you'll see/find.

Great pics Mark, Good to hear you guys got a good day in.

The dealer I got my bike from in Kenosha has a museum too. They are having a open house bash next week.

You ditched us because of me, didn't you? It's because I ride a Sportster, isn't it? You could have just said something, I would have stayed home.

Using that logic, Ed, you'll have Napp's Motel to yourself next month. But I highly doubt that.

That's ok. Wife and I can sleep in the back of the truck down the road a ways. We'll ride at least half a mile behind you guys so that people won't think we are together.

Cool pics, and looks like your guys enjoyed yourself...burp! The 2 Paws designation must be something new. I have family in Sandwich, never heard of 2 Paws. Brings back memories. Corn must be above your eyes now. Mosquitos must be forming fighter squadrons. The heat, allergies, bugs...It's Illinois. Thanks for sharing...ride safe.

Corn is looking REAL good around here.Skeeters aren't bad,but we could use some rain to help finish off the growing season.
