Why, oh why did I wait so long to buy one of these? The UPS man delivered my blem 12" smoked shield this evening, I mounted it and went out for a ride. What a difference! Hardly any wind at the top of my head, and I barely felt any wind in my face. It's also a lot stiffer than the stocker. It really looks good on my bike.

And, the QC (quality control) folks at Clearview must be absolute anal perfectionists. I defy anyone to find anything wrong with this windshield!!

I am sold!!!

they are anal. I have been to their plant several times and they do go over them with the proverbial fine tooth comb...

I have had mine for over a year now and love it...

Glad you like yours....

so how does it work for the passenger? I like a short or a tall windshield, but when I had the real short one on the detachable fairing for the RK, the bh bitched that the wind was in her face.....

It won't fit a Road Glide.:whistling:

Mine (clearview) is 1" taller and I think after it's mounted it looks shorter than the stock one, but it works great, I love mine.

How tall are you sitting down? I'm eight inches taller than my wife standing, but about an inch shorter if we're sitting side by side.

Sounds like I'm a 9.5" kinda guy - smoked recurve on order. 3 - 5 weeks, I need it in 4 weeks! Paid the extra $20 for 2 day express shipping.

You'll like it Jimbo. The 8" is ok for me, but the 9.5 or 10.5" would be better for Darlene.

I'm 5'9". I like to look through the shield unless I sit up to intentionally look over it when it rains. Stock is mebbe 2" too tall for my liking. You guys think 10.5 or 9.5 for me?

Dan, I'd sit on the bike and measure from the fairing to where you like to look. Wingin' it and getting a shield you hate would suck royally.

Dirty Dan

Solid advice, Chief. That's what I did and just ordered a 10.5 light smoke recurve with 2nd day shipping - which means it will get here one day after we leave for ES.

You guys can be expensive to hang around with.

I need a new windshield on my EG, and I see they have a 10" recurve with blemishes for cheap. Tempting...

But I have one caveat. When I got that bike, it was from a tall rider. He had the 13" on, and part of the reason I need new glass is I have taken two bird strikes and a peanut sized rock on the top 3". Lined up with guess where. Gives me pause.

TalonChief

Got mine yesterday. It is every bit as sturdy as has been previously posted and fit perfectly. The 9.5 is a little taller than the unformed lexan EBay special I had on there, but it's still a bit below eye-level, which is what I prefer.

Hello James,

Thank You for the order......it is going to be tight to get it to you by the 2nd week of June.....if you would e-mail the end of May we can see how things are going.

Here is a copy of your order for your review. Please let me know if there are any changes that need to be made.

Our production is running about 3-5 weeks to ship.

You will receive an e-mail with the tracking number the evening your shield ships.

Thanks

John

I got a 9.5 inch light smoke w/recurve (blemish) for my Street Glide. Awesome price! You can only see the blemish if you are looking for it. Best money I ever spent! I'm 6'2" and this thing works great at keeping the wind out of my face.
