Brake Rotors

Does anyone know why an 07 Ultra Classic has the front rotors mounted backwards. My friend has a 07, he says his manual calls for the stamped left to go on the right. The slot pattern is backwards from my bike (04 Roadking)


He recently mounted a new front tire, but said he mounted it backwards. It now matches my bike, but not this picture of his bike when nearly new. Also does not match Manual

Many had a brake squeal when coming to a stop. Service bulletin came out to flip the rotors - stopping the squeal. Worked on mine.

Interesting, I wonder if on my 04, I would eliminate squeal if I reversed mine. I am going to search and see if I can find that bulletin. I added a picture of my bike. It's hard to see (both crappy pictures)

I was looking at my 08 Harley Calendar, the rotors were mounted like mine. But wrong per bulletin I guess.
