So I'm scanning through my tune today, and I'm noticing that when the throttle's turned 20% at 1,000rpm, it's only opening the throttle blade 17%. At WOT, it's not opening the blade 100% until 2,500rpm!
Anyone know why I shouldn't change that?

Go back and look at the pics of your clutch cable and derby cover.
Any more questions?

Realistically, I would not mess w/ it w/out talking to someone who really understands the implications.

I remember it being a factory setting that was set that way to add longevity and to protect the bike in some manner. Dave 'splained it, but I wasn't paying attention...

Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. I think I'm gonna do a few more runs once the new muffler goes on, then truck up to Dave to let him mess with the timing and everything else.

Russ, report on the new muffler...sound, tone? Difference in sound from the concentric baffle? Noise at cruise? So many questions... (give me back my old Rineharts...)
On the throttle percentage, you don't need full fuel and air until the engine can properly use it, especially when in closed loop.

He's gettin the baffle that I had before. I loved it and really miss it now that I have the concentric baffle. It had a great sound at idle, wasn't too harsh while cruising, but would bark real nice when you wanted it to.

Frank, the sound is what I am missing with this concentric baffle. It's barely passing my test on the sound, and it sounds too harsh at times. The Rineharts made noise that kept you coming back for more...loved them. And, I have the a/f set to 920 Lambda (13.5), which is rich, spark plugs look nice and tan with a good fuel ring...mpg is 40-42. Did you notice any change in power between the two??

I did. Ass dyno says it's missing something on the topend now. I'm gonna shoot Cody an email and ask him about it.
