A very good friend of mine, Howard Kastner, has passed away. He was only 63 years old. He was found in his home sitting at the kitchen table with a pen in his hand and his journal in front of him. An old Martin guitar by his side. A little Jewish guy who relocated from Brooklyn to Denton, Texas in 1980. His life was a wreck because of his drinking and the lifestyle he had been living. He drifted into the Show-Me Group of Alcoholics Anonymous. He got sober and remained sober for over 30 years. He made it his life work to help suffering alcoholics and drug abusers. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed. He left a huge impact on all of us who followed in his wake.
