What do y'all use. I've been using ultra copper high temp as suggested by the distractions but it makes for a PITA to get off. Any suggestions? I tried doing without like Russ, but I have a leak on the bike

Ultra-copper, just enough to get a good schmear around the inside of the pipe. I have never had an issue removing mine.

I did have some stock mufflers at one time that would always loosen up & leak. I shimmed between the clamp and pipe w/ a cut up beer can and no more issues.

Drill a whole in each muffler and. through the pipe where it slides over and put in a pan head screw. then put clamp over and around the screw and tighten.

This (http://www.coolcatcorp.com/Merchant5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Sealer&Category_Code=Exhaust) works great and doesn't harden up. Good to 2000* IIRC. Better results for me over the other stuff suggested so far. I had a FatCat that wouldn't seal too.

They've got it at NAPA. And I've got nearly a full tube.
