For the bay area, Ron at RC cycles is one of the best tuners around. He has even been offered a job by Harley Davidson. He has designed his own parts including a line of cams. When he rebuilds your motor, watch out, and hang on tight.

I really wish I could say a whole lot of nice things about that business...
I will say that Ron is an excellent builder and knows his stuff. He probably puts more miles on in the saddle than most of us... except he does it with the front wheel locked down. The man is a dyno freak.
Stick to the Hayward shop and Ron.

That man knows motorcycles inside and out. Instead of riding them, he buys a new model and tears it apart to see what make it tick. I don't know about the dyno part. Someone else takes care of that usually. I have a carb bike, so I don't need to worry about that. Ron is a good guy and he can really give some good info when asked one on one. I have never had my bike there for service, I take care of that myself and what I don't know, I get help from friends.

one day we can sit down for an iced tea and I'll tell you a story. for now, I would advise steering clear of anything they sell that has wires and does not control or hook up the the motor in some way.

Thanx for the info Doc.! I'll keep a frosty lookout if I need to purchase anything electrical from there.
