I got my bike all put back together and wired in the new RWD Cat eye taillight with the badlands illuminator and everything seemed copasetic. Brake lights, turn signals and hazards all working like they should.
So i take it down the road for a quick run to make sure that all is good and when I hit about 40mph the battery light and engine light popped on. Shut the bike down and flip it back on. Warning lights are off. soon as I hit 40 they pop back on again.
So I unhook the wiring harness to the rear fender and removed all the other accessories attached to the battery and it still does the same thing?
Not sure what the deal is?
during this revamp I had also removed the tank and replaced it with a new one using all the same parts from the original, but I can't see how that could have anything to do with it.
Anybody have any ideas? I've been messing with it for a couple days and I'm stumped.

stator plug loose?
i'll check that. I did have to pull the regulator off cause one of the clips broke on the chin spoiler. Maybe I didn't get it connected back together very good.

it's all good. took it out the other day for a couple hours and no problems. Really digging this new seat set up and how easy it is to go to a solo seat and dump the bags.
Now I just got to do some custom work on the big passenger seat and I should be totally done.
Going to add a luggage rack to the back of the sissy bar so we can take the big tour pack when BT is with me and I'm going to have the pad redone so it makes more of a back rest for me and has extra cushion for BT.

just messing with the custom work to the passenger seat and I may have to put hardware on the solo seat to hold it down, because I found out recently that suction cups don't stick for crap to matte finish...

Maybe! If so, let me know through PM, we can't let these guys take our idea!
Truthfully, if you made fabric channels that encased the magnets, it would save some of the wear of the paint.
