I have to say I'm impressed by La Crosse Area Harley Davidson in Onalaska, WI. I bought my Street Glide used during a sale event they were having...during a snow storm. The sun, moon and stars all came into alignment and we reached a deal. But due to the weather, I couldn't ride it.

So before I signed z papers, I asked if it was all stock, including mufflers and cams. I also asked what happens if I take the thing out when it's nice and there is something I'm not happy about.

The answers were yes, it is all stock and they always take into consideration if a bike is purchased the way I bought mine.

Well, last Saturday I was able to take it for a ride and it sounded like crap. It ran well, but sounded really bad. It was rather loud and sounded like a putt putt motorboat.

I went to LAHD and relayed my story to the salesman that sold me the bike. He immediately offered to have it picked up and looked at. I agreed. This morning they called me to say that my bike had stock mufflers, but the outer baffles had been cut out. They offered to put on new mufflers and also installed the 25 degree injectors. I agreed and they even brought my ride back this afternoon. I took it for a spin this afternoon, it is as advertised and I'm happy.

Down the road in the low rent forum, there is a lot of talk about MOCO sucks, stealers suck, and everything HD sucks. I had a great experience with my dealership and recommed them. They took care of me.:bowdown:

I have been over at that dealer. Buddy of mine bought an SE ultra Glide there because the dealer in Rochester didn't seem very interested in selling him one.

They treated him very well and stood by everything they told him. He was very happy.

Participated in a couple of group rides they put together which were very well organized and a lot of fun as well.

my experience there has always been good too! a much better parts dept than the dealer closer to me geographically.

They even have......take a deep breath here, someone who knows about parts from bike manufactured before the computer to over parts!!!

yep LAHD is a bonus in this area.

We're gonna have to get together at Hanson's Holdup to take a look at that new bike of yours Dan....I know Don's down for a ride any time he isn't flying off to China or someplace....lets make it happen this summer.:cool:

dwarthog...they do have a real active dealership there. If I take a spin by there on a Saturday, there is always a lot of activity and people milling around. I like the place.

wibiker...yea, it was Joe. That guy really gets around, huh? Joe is a real pro. I enjoyed working with him. He's one of the good guys.

Seahag, that sounds like fun. The snow's starting to melt and we should be on the road pretty quick. Let's do it.

Did you have as much snow in that pic last week?? Holy crap. Your not that far north, I would have thought snow would be gone, for the most part.

Shoot, it was half melted in that pic. We got hit real hard in March.
