View Full Version : PG Mission today
Not much details but there was a last minute request for the Patriot Guard to attend the services for Sgt Mangus in Lovell, Wyoming. :patriot:
Winter storm will hit the area this afternoon but hopefully we will be ahead of it.

From the Wyoming State Captain's report:
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. This was an especially heart wrenching mission. This
young American hero had returned from Iraq only a couple weeks ago. Patriot
Guard was part of a huge and joyous welcome home ceremony for him and 153
other Wyoming National Guardsmen at the Casper airport on March 31st.
The call for this mission came out on very short notice. We were notified
about 8:00 PM on Tuesday that the funeral was at 2:00 PM on Wednesday. Lovell
is a small community in north central Wyoming. Patriot Guard members in this
area are scattered far and wide, so it was very difficult for many to arrange
time off and do whatever else was necessary to attend the mission. Montana PGR
picked up on the call and their response was absolutely fantastic. We had 15
flag holders for this mission.
The soldier's mother and brother, along with several National Guard officials,
local officials, and citizens, came out to express their appreciation to the
PGR.

:iagree: with all. Thanks Jams!
Thanks all,,,,,It was a tough one but not from the cold rain on the ride home.
The Sgt was a Deputy Sheriff and it looks like he took his own life. :(
