Well I was stumbling around in cyberspace and ran into a reference to this new site and found the door standing wide open so I took a look around to just size up the place.

I have to say my hats is off to the “leaders of the group” and am more than a little impressed with their efforts and resourcefulness--- GREAT JOB!

Now to the introduction:

Old, bald, fat man looking for a home (reference to the boll weevil song) without the drama that seems to always surface during the non riding months of the year. Those that have even noticed my username on other sites will confirm that I don’t often post as I prefer to avoid any potential conflict as I truly believe we have enough of that in our day to day life but I do lurk around to get my daily dose of “internet supplement”. Your group has consistently avoided those issues unless attacked directly and I applaud you for that course of action.

I learned to ride in the fifties on an old Simplex that belonged to a friend and still haven’t satisfied my desire for wind in the face. I share my (make that our) ride with the wife and do about 95% of my riding two up with our longest trip being Alaska in 2004. We currently ride a 03’ Ultra and have a 99’ fxdx we purchased so our grandson can ride with us and it also gives us a cool bike for around town.

Now with that said: I don’t know where I fit in this group. Not being a joiner by nature I’m not a #43, Gazinta, not physically equipped to be a “hang around”(way to short in that department), not predisposed for a “reach around”(unless done by the wife)and hope to be more than just a lurker.

I guess (provided the group approves) being from Texas I will be the resident Gazinta lurker in training.

If this all seems to be consistent with the general philosophy and goals of this site I would appreciate the opportunity to participate.

Lastly: assuming my application for membership is accepted --- Where do I send my contribution without using PayPal?

Come to the light brother, all are welcome here at the Doof House of Respit. We distinguish not between Doof and gAZINTa, unless it's to cause the other undo embarrasment. But only in a fun and loving way, of course. Having said that, of course it's well known that Doof is superior to gAZINTa, but that is irrelevant at this point in time.

Your lurking is welcome, as is your posting. One rule. Do not eat all the Lay's.

Just sayin'.

pairofnines, welcome to the world of Doof. Don't just lurk, post-up and enjoy yourself. If at any time you feel led to prospect, there is a place in the Doof Clenas club house for that.

Welcome pairofnines. Pull up a stool and stay a while. While certainly not necessary, becoming a 'member' of one of this establishments Motorcycle Crowd('s) is certainly encouraged. One word of caution however, gAZINTAs try to convince everyone that the color PINK that they love so much is really "safety orange".

you have been warned...

Welcome my future Gazinta brother. It is far more fun to poke fun at these Doofs than to be one. Plus you have to ask yourself do you want to be a part of a group with rules or no rules. If you are a no rules guy then a Gazinta is what you shall be.

Just sayin.

Coleman, huh?

Coleman could be a good place for a lunch. All the Texicans could ride in and discuss what our Yankee brethren are doing with their snow shovels.

Is there a good place to eat in Coleman?

Set the date and make the reservations.

I think that depends on how much kidnappin', incarceratin' and uniquely shaped shell fish eatin' ya plan on doing in April.:pirate_pistol: :pirate_pistol:

We've already got the "Free CaptainLee" grassroots campaign all planned out. Than after your banishment ya can publish your memoirs and sell millions of copies.
