Anyone know where I can get some of this stuff in less than industrial quantities? I have a JR Revolution cold weather suit and the right leg has no protection in the pipe area. I burned a small patch onto my Softail's pipes and would like to eliminate this possibility in the future by adding a small patch of material. And, FWIW, I already looked for a black ironing board cover.

What about getting a length of black exhaust wrap, laying it open and sewing it on as a patch. They have that stuff everywhere.

I have a Triumph dedicated set of Fox riding gear that have melted against the pipes so many times I just started sewing patches of leather over the burn spots and now they look like a pretty cool set of leathers.

Sewing a piece of black bull hide leather over the spot will look like it was purposely designed like elbow patches on them country club corduroy smoking jackets.

I was thinking that too, but that stuff phades bad, and especially when it gets wet. The leather isn't a bad idea though.

leather sounds good to me too... just don't glue it on with Hobby Lobby glue...

Hadn't thought of this. My son has some large pieces of leather around here somewhere.... Al, what kind of glue should I use? :outtahere:
