My latest project was installing a rider backrest on my SG. Installation was a breeze and the instructions were decent.

How do I like it? Gordito said in a different thread where a backrest provids him a different riding sensation. I agree. It makes me feel like I'm one with the bike....kind of a Zen thing. I like the feeling of the backrest....alot.

It will help your back on long rides too.

Is it the Harley backrest or an aftermarket?

My back rest usually has to work on weekends, so I can't take her along. So, I bought the backrest that's adjustable with the cable thingie under the left side of the tank. Makes me assume a more proper posture while riding.

Oh how did we live for so long without these conviences? Oh how.........???

I got a Mustang one. Didn't even take it Sturgis this year. I dunno. Sometimes it seems to put in my bad spot, and gives me aches in my hip. Laying a bike down at 85, gives you some aches here and there.

I'll probably try it again, cause they are good in theory.

Also the OL bitches non stop about getting on with it. This one I can actually agree with, it does gouge the passenger.

Also my Mustang would not fit my Mustang seat. Mustang sent me some plastic spacers to tilt it forward and now is fine. WTF, why not include them when you buy it. Pisses a guy off to wait for the seat, and then have screw with it, finally give up and call manufactor, then wait for spacers to come in the mail.

Sounds like the HD marketing gurus. Sell you half the sh!t you need so you can make a bazillion trips to get what you require to put the thing together.

And then of course, they're out of stock for the one particular spacer you need and it's on backorder....:badmood:

They mailed me the spacers for free, but I just don't knw why they don't give them to you off the bat. How much can few plastic spacers cost?
