Anybody adjusted the factory shocks on a Softail? It was my understanding the factory setting is for approx. 180 lb. rider and I'm more like 220. When I hit a half decent bump now, it feels like they definitely need to be turned up. Anybody have any suggestions or charts for how many turns (1/4, 1/2 etc.) equal what weight adjustment? Any help/guidance is appreciated.

I don't know how hard it is to get to, but why don't you adjust it up 2 turns and go for a ride... adjust from there.
edit: better make that 4 turns... just sayin'...

No chart. Adjuster plate (out) towards locknut to increase preload and (in) away from locknut to decrease.

Me, I just push a button and they adjust like magic.
May need to get the "Special" wrench.

crank them up all the way... it may be decent there, but you'll still bottom with a passenger.
the stock shocks suck.
