When I had Bassani pipes on a 01 RK I removed the crossover and it sounded better than stock. Now that I have a 02 RK with Sampsons I thought I would do the same thing. WRONG. The bike sounds like crap so needed to convert it back. I tried to find stock headers and a friend gave me the headers from an 07 FLHT. All I needed was the plug for the O2 sensor holes. After checking 5 different stores I am told that I need a 18mm bung, which is hard to find. I go to a performance store and they have them in stock and I am now back to stock headers with Sampsons. They have a good sound to them. I can cruise out of the neighborhood and not tick everyone off and it still has a nice rumble when I get on it. So, if anyone else runs into this issue the bungs for the O2 sensor hole is 18mm.

We are up to 6 Harleys, 1 victory, 2 dirtbikes, 2 kids on electric choppers and every once in a while we have Shope using our neighborhood as a testing grounds for his custom built bike. The Pinecrest gang is running strong. Nobody gets out of control, the kids are the enforcers.
