Day started out hot and humid. It got humid-er. Rode home in a driving rain and heavy wind gusts, but I still had a great day.
11 of us from my local HOG Chapter reserved a class this past Sunday. I have never had any kind of "formal" bike training. I've been self taught, like many here, I'm sure. I wanted to take the class just to make sure I was doing things right, and to try and rid myself of a bad habit or two. I was impressed with what I was able to do. I believe the instructors were too.
Dinger and I ride together alot, and we like to test our skills against eachother. Sunday gave us that opportunity. He beat me on the slow ride, but I did manage to have him dab a foot while he was following me. He nearly lost it when I was following him (I nearly lost it doing a panic stop). I believe it was a 40 foot run for the slow ride. Dinger did it in 18 seconds. I did it in 16. Dam instructor must have not started the timer right for me or something :D
Anyway, Dinger and I will be shopping for new floorboards soon I believe, as there wasn't an exercise that we did where metal wasn't meeting the road. Nobody dropped their bikes, and we all walked away learning something new.

What a great day, topped off by going to see one of the great local bands play.
