I will make the ride to the famous MD 43 maybe with some of my peeps (Delinquents) in the upcoming months. Then I'll be out in San Diego next year to do the ride there also. I'm working on getting orders to SD or DFW, Tx now that I'll have 2 yrs on station in May.

My name is Doug and it's so. I am looking at as early as June and maybe as late as Dec. Either location is fine for me. Kind of miss the 619 because everyday is a riding day but do love Texas. Now you all have a place to come as visit to get some good riding done in the Jan/Feb months. I need to sew on the Delinquent patch so I can display with pride no matter where I end up. Do we have more of those anyway?

Come to think of it who founded the "D's" anyway, were you one of the founding members (kinda makes you like George Washington).

I may be moving early because my office is closing down. What I'm trying to do though is leave early and the tour be recognized as a successful tour so I don't have to do this crap again. I want SD so I can leave the family with the inlaws and I can go over the pond and play Marine again. Tx would be my second choice because that's where I'm gonna retire anyway and my old billet over there is opening back up in January. You all can come visit anytime no matter where I do end up. Can't really say I was one of the founders but I was around before the patches and even the name. See you in the morning.

Doug is/was one of the original members...the start of the group was Chris, (HD-LUX) Jeff, (Wyodude) and myself...we were the original "3 amigos" and got together for a ride to Farmville...shortly thereafter we began discussing riding together every weekend, we the set up what was the first Delinquent ride out to Groves HD...besides myself, Wyo, and Chris there was billymac, Vafatboy and a few others that I don't recall the names of...about 13 bikes in all. (most of which no longer ride with us) About that time I ran across Doug and he mentioned that he was looking for folks to ride with so we did a couple of rides together and I turned him onto the others in the group...so he was one of the original group...before we even had a name. As we formed the name others jumped in interested in riding and we coined a few of the phrases used by the Doofs today...Gazinta came from a conversation with Chris about Jethro Bodine: 4 gazinta 8 how many times (he later used it in reference to the doofs arch enemy) And the "cat hearder" rocker came from a pic of a sticker on my old helmet. (again submitted by Chris) so we even contributed to the humble begennings of the Doof in some arcane way. So that's how it all began...
