I've been reading about how the Turner Network planted these devices that got everyone running scared that they were bombs. Ok, I kinda agree that it was a bad idea. But I just saw my first picture of these things. They don't look like bombs? WTF is wrong with people? They look like signs.

They were up in SEVERAL cities around the country for a period of time before the Boston incident...with NO PROBLEM .
Apparently...some people in Boston are wrapped so tight everytime they sneeze their knees buckle....
But..it's OK...These people have YOUR best interest at heart.

Here's the problem...there are techniques used by the bad guys with things like these. You can gauge overall response, response time, etc. Also, the IRA would plant fakes over and over again, then...Boom. The Soviet Union sowed land mines in Afghanistan that looked like childrens toys.
This is Post-9/11, folks. The world has changed. This shit ain't no joke anymore.
Now, can anyone guess what the response would be if these things showed up, no one did anything, and they released a nerve agent?

Yep, and IMHO, though it ain't pretty, the most effective way to fight them is to terrorize them, and I don't mean just a little.
I have been an advocate of the use of MOABS or tactical nukes throughout this whole fight. Political preasure too, like telling Saudi "if you don't get this shit under controll, Mecca will cease to exist".
The entire concept of a "kinder, gentler war" is idiocy of cosmic proportions.
