Rushmore Radio operation?

So it appears as if one can plug a thumb drive thingy into the USB input behind the "secret" panel.

Can one copy I-tune music from file on computer to the drive or maybe make a "playlist" and copy to the thumb drive as if it were a CD and play it off the thumb drive that way.

Or just better load MP3 style/type files to the thumb drive and play off that?

I've tried playing I-tune music off a thumb drive to the radio in my RAV via the USB port, but to hear the song(s) you must select each one as the last ends...

Sometimes apple does not play well with others...

Well "burning" to thumb drive as a "music" CD didn't work...

Or won't.

I seem to remember that AAC files (iTunes) don't play on the Rushmore. I stopped buying AAC from iTunes a while ago because converting them to mp3 was a PIA. I have loaded a bunch of mp3 on a stick and they played just fine.

I have an Ipod Touch hook to my Rushmore bike and it plays well, and loud.

There is that method.

Just A-pple doesn't play well making a mp3 file or go onto a thumb drive to play the music with.

Have double twist on the droid to convert them to music files that will play on the droid.

Just wish they would allow their music to be copied to a thumb drive to play on newer radio music input devices.

I haven't tried the thumb drive but using the Bluetooth with the iPhone works great. You can control things like Pandora or Amazon radio with the bike controls.

This is almost like having your new car come only with a CD drive and you have no way to play all your eight tracks...

Almost.

Gotta link the droid to the bike, one more distraction...

I use the good old copy and paste method but I put the music in folders by the artist's name. Gotta be straight MP3 or it won't work right. Bluetooth works great as well and I use it for streaming SiriusXM but otherwise I just play MP3's to conserve my phone's battery.

Yep, MP3's are easier to adapt and use in many devices.

Apple does not play well with others, (formats / devices) as I know.
