Aim-Tamachi Light Force Slave Cylinder
1 Attachment(s)
I've always hated the hydraulic clutch. The friction zone is microscopic and the clutch disengagement is when the lever is almost all the way out. Aim-Tamachi claims to have a cure for both of my complaints, at least for the Milwaukee 8 models. Also claims a 40% easier clutch pull.
The original design required some "persuasion of the hydraulic line. Other than that, it got rave reviews from everyone that bought one. Now they came out with a phase II, which is supposed to install as easy as the stock unit, with no bending of the steel line to make it fit. I went ahead and pre-ordered the phase II version, and just received an email saying it should ship on Monday. Hopefully it will live up to it's billing. It might be a few weeks before I can install it but I'll report back soon https://aim-tamachi.com/collections/...slave-cylinder ] |
Interesting. Unfortunately it won't work on my application.

May the force be with you!
Looks like it will do the trick for what you need. Not even one for the wet heads? Wonder if they need any durability testing of any other clutch parts? |
What?

Was meaning to let Ricky know of some clutch parts in need of performance testing...:whistling:
And I agree there is not much range of clutch engagement. But did you see if they had a listing for the obsolete Rushmore wet head bikes?, I kinda looked for a slave for the '15 but didn't dig anything up right away. Looks like they only have Milwaukee platform parts. |
At this point only the M8 models. Hopefully they'll develop something for the Rushmore bikes soon.

Little pricey for a little less pull.

Seems a cable-operated clutch is a lot less hassle and a lot easier to modulate.

It's not about the pull...
It's about the feeling of pulling it... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |
I didn't even know you had a M8...

I received the Light Force today. Now need to get a couple of syringes and lots of covering for when I undoubtedly spill the DOT4 when bleeding the clutch Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |
Pull in the clutch lever before removing the reservoir to lower the level in the reservoir or it will spill all over the place, when you remove the cover!!!!
I don't know how I know that... And have a spray bottle of water standing by to rinse off any possible spillage that may get on the surfaces of the bike. |
Congrats on the M8!
The new ones do look veddy veddy noice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
