The Harley AGM battery is still the one to beat.

Here is what I found when asking the Google Fu master...

You'll notice it says "Iron" in the name not Ion

"> Lithium Iron Batteries for Motorcycle and Powersports Applications

You can lighten your load and go easy on the environment with lithium iron phosphate powersports and motorcycle batteries from BatteryStuff.com. An alternative to heavier lead-based batteries—as well as less stable lithium ion batteries (which contain toxic lithium cobalt)—lithium iron batteries for motorcycle applications are stable, super light and made from non-toxic, more eco-friendly polymer substances. As with lithium iron batteries, our LiFePO4 batteries are rating for starting purposes only, and we do not recommend them for deep cycle applications. <"

My bike has an AGM battery Advanced Auto Parts and so far I have no complaints.

My neighbor ran one on his dual sport for a few years. He got it mainly for the weight savings. Pros that he saw was zero discharge over the winter months, but he had no security system on his bike. Cons was that he said he couldn't use a standard battery charger on it for some reason, not sure of the details there, may have had to do with his "smart" charger. He never had to charge it, but that was something he noted with it.
