.........you need something to keep you busy, right? Well, look what I picked up last night - she's a 55 panhead in running condition. Hasn't seen the road since 2002. Motor has 0 miles since rebuilt, but she made some funny noises when first started, so she was shut down and has sat ever since. She's got dual plug heads, 12v electrics, suicide shift........ old school for sure. I'm gonna have a lot of fun this winter........but I gotta change the paint.

First thing is to dig into the motor and find the "funny noise". Go over the whole bike and see what needs replaced, redo the paint, etc. I've missed having an old bike to tinker on, so I'm really looking forward to playing with this one. Gonna keep the basic styling, I want to use this one for back and forth to work, and just to play around. We'll still use the Glide for long trips.

Did you try starting it yet?

Nope. I gave it a couple of kicks and everything seems to move well, but I'll change fluids and check her over before I attempt to start her.

You would sure turn a lot of heads with that paint scheme.

The previous owner was a lady rider, hence the paint scheme. She's in one of the pics beside my wife.

It's green and purple, I don't see a problem?

I'm thinking a nice pint tutu would go great with that bike.

I'm thinkin' the paint doesn't need freshening up, maybe YOU just need to 'embrace' it. Sounds like a good time!
