Repairing Rain Gear
Thought I'd pass this along:
My rain gear is HD and made of some nylon-like material. They're the gray and black set. The material is medium in weight and feel. They're not goretex, but they work very well. I managed to burn a few holes in my rain gear over boots. So... I figured a place like REI should have something to repair all the high-tech fabric stuff they sell - and I was right. The sell a tape that is basically a sticky patch. Once on - it's supposed to stay on forever. They had it for goretex and also for rip-stop / nylon / synthetic stuff. A roll of the latter cost $3.00. Worked like a charm and even comes in different colors. |
Good to know!!!
Ummmm............. what's an REI? |

It's a patch that sticks, rather than iron-on?
So that might work to stick on the inside leg of my FroggToggs to work as a heat shield? Link? |

I was hoping someone would make it really easy for me and post a link for the actual patch or tape so I wouldn't have to search the site. :Poke:
