Guzzi! Cool beans. Must have ride report

Love the Guzzis. Very nice bikes.

This one is actually on loan from a high school classmate. He sent me a pic of it an the three others in his garage and said "Pic one!". So I flew out to Phoenix on Monday and have been riding the Guzzi since then. Road a loop on Tuesday north and west from Phoenix through foothills to Prescott and a few small mining towns. Yesterday we hammered I-10 to Palm Desert. Today we road south for some spirited riding through the San Bernadino National Forest and Joshua Tree National Park. Tomorrow we head back to Phoenix but hope to jump off I-10 near Quartzsite and take a more scenic route the rest of the way.

The Motorola Guzzi is a 1997 California 75 "Aniversary Edition". It is a 'cruiser' style with a bit of a high center of gravity. While it will stay in a turn once there, it does take a bit of musceling to get it there.

The rumor of it's death was greatly exaggerated. :SD2

Sounds like fun! Ride safe :)

The M-G California has had a permanent spot on my top three list of possible replacements for the Road Glide, if I ever tire of it. There's one sitting in the shop now about to come out of winter storage, a lovely pearl white 2014 unit. I've been dropping subtle hints to the Service Manager that I should be the one who gets to prep and test ride it before the owner comes to pick it up.

Tommy; You need to buz over to Alpine along the NM border and ride south. :Poke:

Much better riding than 1-10 to Palm Desert. :woohoo:

The scenery is much better too. Just watch for Elk. :Scared:
