2005 H*nda Shadow Spirit 1100

We are looking at a 2005 H*nda Shadow Spirit 1100 with 850 miles on it for $5500. Always garaged, ridden by a guy who decided he didn't have time for it since he'd rather travel via airplane and ride his horses on the weekend. Seems like a nice bike, rides well. Anyone got experience to share?

Please, Harley folks, don't bother to cast aspersions on the make or comment on the absolute necessity of owning a Harley. Ain't gonna happen in my lifetime.

A friend of mine rides one every day he must have 20+k miles on it and he loves it.

This Goldwing rider says go for it.

The Shadow is a nice machine.

My buddy's dad has a 750 he bought new in 2005.
He has 51,000 miles on it, and just he turned 80 years old.

Yup, the ol' man rocks...

All a H*nda will do is run forever if you keep oil and gas in it.

I only traded my 10 year old H*nda cause I didn't want to have to start F'n with 6 carburetors.

my buddy has a 99 shadow ace, I change all his fluids every year, brakes occasionally, and let the thing run.....and run .....and run.... and run....except for the flat tires and the one time harness fire which I believe was the result of some shoddy add ons years back, the bike is spot on

$5,500 seems a little high, unless it has a lot of custom accessories.

You pays your money, and you get what you want. I think all of us had H@nda, Suzk!s, or Yammerhammers at one time. Get your knees in the breeze!
