Yup, but more of a statement thing than anything else in these messed up times of bleating sheeple......Sorry didn’t mean to get off tangent. Have 4 of them and slowly acquiring a mess of parts, retirement fun :DD

Another underfunded dream.

So love the looks of the Boyd's Stocks wood furniture for this platform.

I’m lucky enough to have this guy within a few hours and he has my 1911 in his shop to work his magic.

I understand he builds some really accurate AR’s. I know nothing about them, but you might find this informatitive.

That is a nice jig! I didn't find it until after I bought mine, which I am perfectly happy with.

I'm a DeWalt dealer so I bought a Dewalt DWP611 handheld. I've had one OOPSIE, the last one I did, but it should function fine.

Now I'm forever waiting on gun parts....

This is the jig I bought:

That is the other one I've also been looking at.

Drill press for the main drill out then finish with router and end mills. What are you doing for your finish? I worked with a guy in Seattle that got set up to do Cerakote at his home shop. Kinda mulling over doing that myself.

Just snagged a couple more lowers. Think I'll do a 6.5mm Grendel with one of them.

I've got to drill price for the pilot hole, I use a DeWalt 611 hand router with an End Mill for the pocket work, then back to the drill press for the pins and safety selectors

I'm thinking about getting a long sanding tube for my Dremel to polish the sides

I've heard things.

Complete uppers?

Brands to stay away from?

What brands are GTG? (under the $500 range)

Chrome lined or un-lined? ( I lean towards unlined, metal treated (melonite'd type?), heard chrome flakes? )

If we own a modern sporting rifle here in the PRK, we're not allowed to have the barrel fitted with a "flash hider", but . . .

We are allowed to fit a compensator on it.

I guess they don't know it can also work, pretty well, as a flash hider . . .:whistling:
