Starter Ring Gear

3 Attachment(s)
All Balls has brought out a one piece 9 tooth jackshaft that works on my '03 and Rivera Primo 66 tooth ring gear :woohoo: Nice it will be in on Friday, that combined with my new comp. releases and a rebuilt 1.4kw All Balls starter should take care of any hot start woes....... Like what was left of the backside of my 102 tooth ring gear

Cheers,
Dirk

Same setup I have. All Balls starter, ring and pinion gear. The 9/66 gear ratio is easier on the starter too.

I just put the All Balls 1.4kw starter on my bike too. I have the 10/84 ring gear set up and it still looks good.

Started the bike today and let it warm up. Thought about a quick ride, but still have a layer of ice down the driveway. I'll have to get that removed.

That should help out. While you are in there, check out your inner clutch hub bearing for play.

I am curious....Sometimes when I try to start after fuel stop sounds like something is trying to tear itself apart. It always starts but sounds like crap. Doesnt do it all the time. Any thoughts?

We haven't known Dirk that long yet.. And that we know of, nobody else's bike has broke down, leaked, or not started near his garage. :Poke:

Couple of chipped teeth on the clutch ring.

Starter clutch was the running bet on mine, but as Geezer said it was teeth in the end, clutch was perfect.....
