UPLOADING PROBLEM
 

I cannot upload from my camera anymore. When I plug in the the PC, you would hear a noise followed by a window opening. Then you would pick what action you want. My Pc does not see the camera anymore, What the hell happened and how do I fix this??? Anyone gurus out there. Did I lose a driver? Do I have a gremblin? Help Please.:badmood:

Anti virus protection blocking it?

Have you gotten a newer pc? Does the pc "see" the memory card, like does it show up as drive E or F or something like that? Maybe the camera dongle is bad, you did say you plug camera into computer...?

Try restoring your computer to an earlier time, when the camera worked.

Try a different cable.

Can't restore to earlier time-not an option. Maybe i CAN BUY A NEW CORD AT bEST bUY.

Dumb question, but did you turn the camera on while plugged into the PC?

The camera turns on automatically

And is it turning on?

Yes it turns on, but nothing happens in my windows photo gallery where it usually shows the camera and how many pix to up load.

Try looking at "my computer" and see if it shows up as a drive you can search.

Also check in your My Programs file to see if your camera program is in there. If one of the new updates won't support it you may have lost it or need to look for an update on the camera program to sync drivers.

One other thing-try plugging the camera into a different USB port on your PC.

My old PC's USB ports began to fail, one by one. It was too obsolete to fix, so it eventually got replaced.

I tried a different port and looked on my computer. I'm just stumped, maybe time for a new PC
