How Irish Are You?

My two major lines are Irish and German.

Mainly Scot, Welsh and Irish with a bit of Dutch
The sir name derives originally from the oldest clan 'reanna'. The best research shows we moved from Scotland to Ireland some 450 years ago--so most of the name claim Irish heritage. Some where along the line the Mag changed to Mac and later to McG. Interesting stuff. Clan MagReannachain descends directly from the Erainn People, a European Celtic Tribe, which, in 500 BC, invaded Ireland and named it Erie. Interesting stuff to some. :-) |

German??? And here I was sure you were Norwegian. :Poke:
Scotch-Irish, mostly, with good chunks of regular Irish and Welsh, and bits of English, French Swiss, Dutch, African, Choctaw, and Cherokee (yep, right there on the Dawes Rolls). Can't get a whole lot more American than that mish-mash of cultures, but my kids added Norwegian from dad's side and my niece's mom is from Mexico. :) |
