YouTube embeds not appearing in iOS

Noticed this a while ago, wondering if it is just me (totally possible, of course.) :coffee:

When viewing the forum on an iOS device and in Safari, YouTube embeds disappear. All I get is an empty space (similar to the one between my ears, but smaller.)

Is there a switch that needs to be thrown or is this just a result of Cupertino's HTML5 only policy?

Ok, maybe it's just a slow load speed. Videos will pop up, but it takes a while. Might be the device I'm using, not a lot of free space in the memory.

I think it's you.

Nope, it's all of my iOS stuff as well. I'd say it started maybe two months ago. It IS a loading speed issue. If I just leave it alone, the video will eventually load into the blank space. I might take (literally) 3~4 minutes. It's faster on the iPad than the iPhone.
Refreshing the page will *sometimes* speed it up.

Which model iPhone/iPad are we talking about? You can also download the Chrome browser for your mobile devices that might be a little faster than Safari.

It's the first one with the Retina display, 16GB.

I've seen this on an iPad (2), iPad (3) and a 5s phone

Same for me in this corner of the world... Both on my 5S and iPad! Finally downloaded the "Mercury " browser and just pop over to it when I want to see what is in those white voids .....
