Remember when you did the rear brake pads on your "Stealthy Sleeper Ultra" and there was all that ooey gooey stuff on the pistons?



Well...


I just did my rear brake pads on my '11, I used a set (kit) of HD pads.

The instructions tell you to use these "masks" that have openings where the pistons will contact the back of the pad, then apply some kind of "anti-squeal" paste / grease, then use a scraper to remove the excess and make the stuff level with the mask.


So... anyhow maybe the pads on yours had excess goo smeared on the back of the pads, because everyone knows more is better...


Unless I missed some other post that pertained to this little factoid...
