Final thoughts.....

It was a good bike. Crazy, insane power from the 6, with lusty sounds when giving it the spurs. Amazing suspension and brakes.

So why'd I get rid of it?

- The lack of a flywheel. While this makes it stupid fun to beat on, it also makes it impossible to ride smoothly, especially with a passenger. Coupled with the touchy throttle and the uber-light clutch, the bike was a PITA to ride slowly....which with the traffic here is a regular thing.

- The high center of gravity. The bike weighed 700~ish pounds, and it felt like it carried all of them in the mirrors. I can move the Roadie around at walking speeds far easier than I could do with the Beemer (thanks Boss).

- I knew it was a short-term relationship. No way I'd own a BMW bike past the warranty.

- There's that damn Harley thing. As much as I bitch about them, they're just so damned cool.
