Reed the label carefully. It used to contain some silicates to remove old furniture polish as it cleans and polishes.
The cumulative damage is akin to sanding with an extremely fine grade sandpaper. It will probably show up first on a black bike and I don't know how long before the damage would occur with a windshield. It would probably be acceptable for chrome that already had wax on it.
