Shoppin'
Went by the Vic dealer Saturday for something to do.
The Hammer and the Cross Country were appealing. The Vision is just tooooooo much fairing. The salesman was a bit anti-HD and made sure to tell me several times that I ride a POS. Really made me want to give him my money. Possibilities.....

I wanted to test ride one, but when I asked he just sort of sidestepped it. I didn't push the issue. Either way, they look like well-made bikes. I liked some of the features like floating rotors, OHC 4-valve heads, billet wheels, etc.

I have to say the pride of riding a Harley is fading. The old All American motorcycle seems a bit over rated. I mean they sell parts made in china. WTF!! Not to mention all the problems we have with our bikes. Heck the new ones seem to be a be delicate with all the new electronics. Ask Noodle he'll tell ya. Victory doesn't sound half bad anymore. Or a H0nda, or Yomaha for that matter.

I still don't like the plastic feel of the Japanese bikes. The last one I had was a 2000 ***** Shadow. It was a nice-running bike, but just felt like it was made of old beer cans.

I like the Cross Country until you look at it from the side. The lines just don't flow..... IMHO, all the victory touring bikes are like that.....

That's the "Victory look". It's growing on me. It's a lot of bike for the money without the Harley name, but also without all the Harley quirks.

I love my Harley.
24k, and no issues, except for a headlight wire that rubbed. 5 minute fix.

Primary rule of sales, "Never trash talk your competition!".
Kinda like their cruisers, especially the Kingpin. The Cross Roads and Cross Country aren't bad but have to agree with Frank, they don't seem to "flow". Just seems like the front ends don't match up with the rest of the bike.

I'm still stuck on Harleys. My RK works for me. But, never say never...

So the wifey and myself test rode a Victory Vision today, I wrote it up in the test ride section. Don't hurry to test ride.
