About 10 years ago I was on a business trip in St. Louis. Our hosts took us out to a fancy-schmancy steakhouse for dinner. There was an older couple on their way out as we came in, and I held the door for them.
The woman smiled and thanked me, then introduced me to her husband Stan. We talked for a few minutes, then said goodbye. It was a small brush with fame, but it was pretty cool.

Was at a business conference back in the 80's and Musial happened to be at the same hotel for some function. Got to meet him and he was very cordial and unasuming.
