Saddle bag lid retainers
Bags I got from Jenni were a pain.
My problem was the set rail on the Deluxe. They kept the bag lid from opening fully. The cable mens it has to go past center of gravity to stay. So, I commenced cutting and welding. Moved them back and down, looked like crap. AHAAA!!! I remember boat hatch keepers. Springs w a cable inside. Got some 10" ones and some aluminum stock and went to work. The lids don't open 90 degrees, but they ar where they look good and usable. The real pain was undoing the fab work. Plywood fixture helped. All done.

Where is the open button and do you push the spring so it will bend to close it?

Cable went to a molded in area w 2 screws.
I used those. Of course the centers were different, so a piece of aluminum went there too
