John Madden
Legendary Coach and sportscaster John Madden passed away today. I fondly remember watching John coach the Raiders when they were my favorite team growing up in CA. Then loved hearing him on the radio or TV with Pat Summerall, the best team there ever was.
R.I.P Coach, you are already missed.

Me and V saw him at a restaurant in pleasanton years ago. Him and his wife came in and sat kitty-corner from us. Big as life. I just watch the TV special about him the day before. Really Sad RIP John

His commentary could make you love a game that if he wasn't doing the 'color commentating', you'd have turned off before the end of the first quarter. As a coach, he did some good work but it was his ability to inspire his players to not only 'be their best' but to achieve beyond their innate abilities that set him apart.
R.I.P. Coach
