I wonder if there's a formula for figuring how much faster you can get from point A to point B with X amount of extra power, that subtracts the amount of time spent waiting for broken parts?
You plug in X and see where the power and downtime lines intersect and back off 10%.

I'm just amazed that the primary chain hasn't worn the tension shoe down to a nubbin.

The clutch is a Bandit Sportsman. It’s a good clutch, but of course the basket was just a stock item. I knew it was endangered.
I found another used stocker today and will probably run that for a while. Truly I need to buy an upgrade basket such as from Trask or Evo Ind. I was about to put it back together but the shifter shaft seal is of course leaking (seems to be a permanent feature though replaced too many times) and I don’t have one on the shelf. That seal can’t be accessed without pulling the inner primary so it’s a “while you’re in there” thing to fix it. I’ll have to wait till Monday to get the little seal. Dang it.
