Frame jack~table lift thoughts
So I've been looking for a frame-lift flat jack similar to this
and my searching keeps pointing me to these I dunno. The Cubby (my garage) is so freaking small that a table with the sides will pretty much take the whole place. I have a jack (Larin) but I've used the tables elsewhere and DAMN they're nice. So now I'm trolling CL and ebay for deals. I really don't want the Harbor freight stuff but can't quite part with the top-notch table funds so I'm looking for advice. I did find a Pro-Lift that I would love but its too far away (Amarillo). The best I've found that's reachable is a "Handy" table (1000# air op) and a "Torin" (880# foot pump) but I don't know much about either. Any ideas? Or source for the flat frame jack?

When I was looking for a frame jack, the best price I found was JC Whitney. It's very similar to the one pictured, but also includes an add'l plate w/ stand-offs to allow lifting the frame at 4 points.
It's a Direct Lift Black Jack. Just looked on the site and the price has gone up quite a bit.

I have an air powered Handy lift table, it's great for everything except tires and front end work. You'll still need the scissor jack to do a tire change or belt maintenance on the lift table. Got mine used for $300 from a defunct shop.

Is the Handy a good brand? Well-built,etc? I'd happily pay 300 for an air lift!
The two I've found are 600 for the Handy and 300 for the Torin manual. The Torin's only rated for 880 and the RK will weigh right at that.

Handy is a good brand, most HD dealers use them in my area.

I think your first order of business would be to build a garage out back.

That's true enough.
Ouch! you've been reading my posts, haven't you? OK, if I put a table in the Cubby, the bike will have to park on it. So, a lot of time, but hopefully not 'in use'.

You need both, a table lift an a scissor frame jack.
I set my DirectLift table lift down into the concrete floor. Now, it doesn't take up any room at all. |

The jack goes hand in hand with the lift table to raise the back wheel for service
