Visited the Flt. 93 Memorial Sunday, as part of a weekend ride. It is a somber place but a fitting memorial to those who lost there lives that day in "the first battle of the war on terror".

If you are ever in the area, I humbly suggest you stop and pay your respects.

Patti and I were there a few years back when it was a make shift memorial. We haven't been back since the site was improved.

Giggles, the kids, and I stumbled upon this accidentally on our way back from Virginia Beach, so we swung in to check it out. It was a very nice memorial, and looks like it will be even better once they can finish what they have planned. Once we got back in the car, the kids started asking all kinds of questions about the memorial, and why it was there. That day in History is very hard to explain to an 8 and 6 year old.

Yep. Had a similar discussion with Frankie not long ago.

This place is on my list of places to visit before we depart the People's Republic of Maryland.
