It was probably <$20 including shipping and easy to swap out. There are lots of repair videos out there. I think the official name is a check valve.

Here is the one for mine: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/pa...art_id=3152971 , they probably have yours also.

And I found the video: http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDeta...k-Valve/939846

At this point BT has had enough and wants to get a new one. So I'm buying through a friend that works for whirlpool to save some cash and they offer these 5 brands.

Amana
Jenn-Air
Kitchen Aid
Maytag
Whirlpool

Out of the dishwasher they offer I was looking at getting this one right now.
KitchenAid® Superba® Series EQ Dishwasher, Model: KUDE60SXSS.

Just curious if anyone has one of these or any other suggestions.
Much Appreciated.
Before you go out and spend yer hard earned money, inspect the DW first.

Remove the lower wash wand. Take off the cover where the water drains into, which is below the lower wand.

Look in there and see if stuff is clogging up the pump section/returns. Clean all the crap out of there you see. Clean the grease and crap off the backside of the cover you removed, too.

Stuff accumulates in these areas, especially if you don't pre-rinse/pre-scrub stuff prior to washing. Your washer depends on water pressure to blast stuff clean. Pump output is minimal if the pump well/screens are full of crap.

Reinstall/reassemble.

See how it washes now.

Prolly better.

Yer welcome.

the worst thing about my Bosch is when I go to put a dirty glass or plate in it and it is running, I get sprayed. So quiet, I just can't usually hear it running...

My brother in law bought a house with a real noisy kitchen aid(bad bearing? bushing?). He is hard of hearing and always said that it wouldn't be long until it gave up the ghost. After 17 years of ear splitting misery, his cheap wife had ENOUGH! (DAMN IT!) and made him buy a new one. It is a Kitchen Aid, it is quiet, but it doesn't clean as well as the old one.

That is what you get for buying quality.

hey, just wanted to thank everyone for the advice and help...(those who mocked me... )

My Dad came over the other night and we gutted the old dishwasher and cleaned out ever piece and put it back together. Screens didn't look bad, but one of the ports had god knows what jammed in it... It looks like Ken hit the nail on the head with what was going on with it. Much appreciated...your talents never cease to amaze...

So we've been running the dishwasher the past few days and it seems to be back to it's slightly below average cleaning ability... so the same as the first day we got it.

meaning for now the old dishwasher still has a job.

thanks again everybody.
