What is interesting is the guys that re-phase the crank and turn the 180 degree motor into a 277 degree motor like the original Triumph. That would be cool, but again, you're starting to talk serious money. A re-phased, big bore (750cc) hot motor is $3600.

I am looking for another once to make a Street Tracker out of, but due to the problems with making a ST it needs to be REAL clean.

Thanks for the conversation on this guys. It makes it a lot more fun.

I agree with you, that doesn't mean that I have to like it .... jus sayin'

I know that's the 'chopper' tank, but it's not the tank that appeals to me the most ....... but heck, I'm not a builder either .. just that I have a different idea of what looks good to me in that regard

My brother is doing a 750 Honday bobber right now. This will be his 2nd one.
He always loved the old CB 750's. I rode his first one and it was like riding
a scat car. Fun and fast.

I remember the days in the 70's when a lot of the 750 choppers were popping up. Some cool old bikes and they sounded great. I said this once to my brother-in-law who was a 1%er and he punched me in the face. Then he got mad at me for not defending my opinion by punching him back. I had a confusing up bringing.

I've been working on the EB a bit the last week. I picked up all the supplies I needed to learn how to polish the cases and other bits. I am surprised how easy it is to clean up this stuff. I had one side case that I had just written off as too far gone to even bead blast and powder coat. I have about an hour of my time into it now and the thing reflects like a telescope mirror. I am really happy with the outcome.

I have decided to change directions just a bit as far as the theme goes and paint this up Gazinta. I have blown up the 'zint pirate flag and am trying to use it to learn how to airbrush.

Anyway, I have a Sportster motor that I picked up for a real good price so I might build up a drop seat with that Doof style. It would be fun to take them to a couple of shows and show them.

I got the ass end cut off the Yammie finally. I hope to have the hardtail on next week. All the parts on the ground are pieces that I cut off using various methods. I found the Sawzall with a new blade worked best, especially seeing as I had to keep the engine in the frame to hold all the geometry together.
