Cabin Air Filter
Found out K&N are making cabin air filters, going to try one out in the 4Runner.
Not oiled, but cleaned and some kind of refresher spray is used every so often. About the same price as the dealer one.

I've used K&N for years. I noticed a friend changing his cabin filters with Perolator filters. I mentioned they couldn't even make Toyota oil filters in the US market pass Yota's stringent specifications, thus would personally pass on the brand all together now days

Yes, in the 4Runner, there is a access door in back of glove box, unclip that then you unclip the door for the filter removal / replacement.
This is the easiest, well thought out one I have ever encountered. The Echo, RAV4.2, FJ Cruiser, and RAV4.4 all had to drop the glove box by squeezing the rear sides in and it would rotate down, then you could get at filter door. Compared to my fleet of 2013 Ford explorer's the Toyota's are a piece of cake (or pie)... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
