Computer Guru needed.
WIN10 fallout?
I was upgraded Gestapo-style about two weeks ago. I refused, win 7 pro64 was "reinstalled" and the machine ran fine for two weeks. I went on vacation for one week. Now, upon return, the machine refuses to communicate online....but, very weirdly, it will ping/reply any and every server, email server, google, but no actual email connection or browser. My WebRoot can't update, NOTHING will connect, yet every basic metric (status/properties/packets/pings) indicate that it IS connected. One program, SuperSpyware, DOES connect and update, but nothing else. We tried creating a new user profile, no joy there, either. This is a work PC on a work network and the work IT guy spent ALL of Monday on this and is at his wit's end, now talking about wiping the box. NOT like, with a cloth or something. I don't *know* if the WIN10 fiasco has anything to do with this. Any ideas?
