In an airport recently; I saw a women walking and texting while pulling a bag. She starting up a stairway without ever looking up from her phone. She made a half-dozen stair treads before she realized she wasn't moving.
She was "climbing" the down escalator. I couldn't get my phone out fast enough (hard to believe, I know) before people coming down the escalator sorted her out. Funniest sh!t evvah! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thrust is not the issue. If the belt is moving at the same speed as the wheels, no air is moving over the wings. If no air is moving over the wings, no lift has been created. If their is no lift, the plane will not leave the ground/take off.

It took me a bit to get my head around it but the thrust is pushing the frame. The wheels just roll as a result of the plane moving forward. Spin them as fast as you want. Or not at all. Or use skis. Or floats. The plane will move forward and takeoff
