Question for someone smarter than me. (MOST)
I just got all my tins painted and reinstalled.
I added some skull after market rocker box cover covers. When I put the newly painted tank on their was no clearance between it and the rocker cover. so I had to grind where the cover was touching. I ground enough to give about one eighth of an inch clearance. Do you think that is enough clearance to prevent the two from vibrating and wearing away at the tank?

Is this for a softail? If so, you should be ok as motor is rigid mounted. Are they hitting in the front or back rocker? If back maybe add a small spacer back there. If in front, than try it and see.....
Try and see, keep an eye on it though.

I would lift the tank before I ground anything away.

It is a softail. I will put a self adhesive little strip of rubber just to be safe... If I should notice any wear then I will have to try the spacers to lift the rear of the tank.
BTW : its a work bench not a makeup table ..lol
